About the role

Job Description: Mechanical Engineer27-002 Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer .
Duties Include:
  • Conducts multidisciplinary research
  • Collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, testing and utilization of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
Requirements:
  • Candidate must be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, or other related degree program from an ABET accredited college/university
  • Knowledge of CAD and simulation tools
  • Experience or classroom knowledge of analytical model development using MATLAB or Simulink
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to a high level of customer service
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with engineers, customers, and business professionalsqualifications include familiarity with some or all, of the following:
  • Experience with 3-D modeling, digital assembly, and rendering
  • Script writing and debugging, data plotting, array manipulation and analysis
  • Requires ability to:
  • Obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Work well in a small, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment with co-workers, management, and client
  • Demonstrate innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential
  • Work Environment
  • Office, Lab, and field environment.
  • This position is expected to be performed only in the state of Alabama.
