About the Company Network Engineer, Roseland, New Jersey - Onsite, permanent position About the Role We are seeking a skilled IT Network Engineer. This role is designed for an experienced support technician who combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with systems deployment and administration responsibilities. The role will support the company's technology stack across applications, identity management, networking, firewalls, switches, and endpoint systems, ensuring stability, security, and efficiency across all offices and remote environments. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys onboarding new technologies, working directly with colleagues and employees, and improving organizational workflows to increase productivity. Responsibilities Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot switch, access point, and firewall infrastructure Handle occasional escalated requests for end-user support and management Administer Active Directory and Azure AD / Entra ID, including group policies Manage user accounts, permissions, and role-based access controls Support Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, Share Point, and One Drive Troubleshoot network issues including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking Support and maintain print servers and enterprise printing environments Manage patch deployment across the company's fleet of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices Maintain IT documentation and configurations Track support requests through the ticketing system and ensure SLA compliance Coordinate with vendors for escalation and issue resolution Audit and improve departmental workflows through automation and new technologies Assist with system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and new technology deployments Support implementation of security best practices and vulnerability remediation Travel to external locations as necessary to provide on-site support Be available for on-call support during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred Industry certification such as Microsoft SC-200, MD-102, CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, or NGFE preferred Experience with networking and security solutions from Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper, Meraki, Fortinet, and/or Palo Alto Networks expected; Palo Alto experience preferred 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure support Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration Proficiency in Microsoft 365 collaboration tools Experience supporting network infrastructure including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless Experience managing endpoint fleets and patch management systems Experience managing print servers and enterprise printing environments Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Power Shell or Python Understanding of identity management, endpoint protection, and security practices Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent communication skills and ability to support non-technical users
