About the role

ABOUT US: Subs of The Carolinas is one of the largest Jersey Mike's franchise groups in the country, operating more than 120 restaurants across the Carolinas, Florida, New Jersey and the Kansas City area, with an active development and acquisition pipeline.
THE ROLE: This is a high-agency analyst role working directly for the CEO. You will run the analysis, systems and processes behind how we manage 120+ restaurants: you will own the numbers, find where we are leaving money on the table, and drive the fix with our operators. The right person will be operating as the CEO's second set of eyes on the business within six months, and the role grows with the company. WHAT YOU WILL OWNPerformance analysis and financial review Run the period P&L review for every store: identify the stores and line items driving results, quantify the opportunity, and hold the follow-up with DMs and directors until it closes. Run recurring labor, scheduling and food cost reviews with field leadership, and keep improving them as repeatable processes. Own manager bonus calculations and audit them against approved criteria before payout. Build the KPIs, forecasts and reporting the CEO and ownership use to run the business, and present findings with clear recommendations. Find and capture savings across vendors, repairs and maintenance, and contracts; build the business case and see it through. Systems and data Support our internal analytics platform and its data feeds (POS, labor, scheduling, food cost, third-party delivery): data accuracy, uptime, and what gets built next. Evaluate new tools and vendors and decide, with the CEO, what we adopt. Growth and financing Build pro formas, valuations and perform diligence for acquisitions and new developments, and support deals from first look through closing. Prepare analysis and materials for ownership, lenders and outside partners. Process and documentation Design the support-office processes that let the company scale, and document them so they run without you. Keep the company's records of leases, entities, contracts and key dates complete and current.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.0 to 5 years of experience. Recent graduates are welcome; internships in finance, consulting, analytics or operations are a plus, and restaurant or franchise experience is not required. Strong with numbers and Excel: you can build a model from raw data and explain what moved in a P&L and why. Technically strong: you are comfortable owning data and software, and SQL, Python or BI tool experience are a plus. You own outcomes, not tasks: you can point to problems you’ve found, fixed, and prevented from happening again Clear, concise communicator, in writing and in front of owners and operators. Willing to travel periodically to our markets.
WHAT WE OFFER: Base salary of $75,000 to $95,000, depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus Direct exposure to the CEO and ownership on operations, finance, development and acquisitions. A growing company with real room to expand the role as the business grows.
