About the role

In Allergy Immunology and Rheumatology Clinic at Main Campus Park Place NorthWork schedule will be Part-time Benefits Eligible on the Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, variable 24 hours per week.
Summary: The Specialty Care Services Specialty Clinic Nurse is a professional nurse who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients and families in an outpatient specialty care clinic setting. Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
  • Essential:
  • Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi StateBasic Life Support
  • Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
  • Essential:* Bachelor of Science Nursing in Nursing or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:- Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing and 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Outpatient
  • Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
  • Nonessential:* 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Outpatient
Includes services of four Board Certified Allergist/Immunologists and six Board Certified Rheumatologists. Academic Fellows, Residents and Certified Nurse Practitioners also provide care in these areas, under the supervision of the Attending MD. Services with Allergy/Immunology cover a variety of diseases and conditions including but not limited to: Allergic Rhino-Conjunctivitis (Hay Fever), Allergic and Non-allergic Asthma, Urticaria (Hives), Angioedema (swelling disorders), Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema), Allergies to foods/stinging insects/medications, hereditary immune deficiencies (Primary Immune Deficiencies). Services with Rheumatology cover a variety of diseases and conditions including but not limited to: autoimmune disorders, including juvenile arthritis, lupus, myositis, scleroderma and various vasculitides. A variety of treatment options are available such as Allergy Immunotherapy, Food and Medication Challenges, Biologic agents, intra-articular corticosteroid joint injections.
