Senior Technical Business Analyst Duration: 18-Month Contract Location: Richmond, VA | Five Days Onsite Required Pay Scale: $55-60 per hour W2*Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates* Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support the modernization and technical enablement of a Bond Trustee Accounting System. This individual will independently lead discovery, document complex business and technical processes, analyze application integrations and data movement, and translate findings into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation. The analyst will collaborate with business users, operations teams, product leadership, architects, developers, testers, data partners, vendors, and platform specialists. The role requires strong integration-analysis, data-lineage, Microsoft Visio, Agile delivery, facilitation, and stakeholder-management experience. Project Details: The project focuses on business-process improvement, software integration, automation, and modernization of a Bond Trustee Accounting System. The Senior Technical Business Analyst will document current-state and future-state processes, identify undocumented workflows and dependencies, and analyze the complete application ecosystem. This includes APIs, SFTP and file-based integrations, data exchanges, transformation points, document repositories, reconciliation processes, and downstream consumers. The analyst will work closely with project leads, developers, testers, Scrum resources, architects, business partners, data providers, and third-party vendors throughout discovery, design, implementation, and validation.
Must Haves:
- Seven or more years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or comparable technical analysis professional.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead discovery sessions, requirements elicitation, process walkthroughs, and stakeholder workshops.
- Experience documenting complex business processes and the technical components that support them.
- Experience analyzing application integrations, APIs, SFTP and file transfers, data exchanges, mappings, and system dependencies.
- Experience documenting data lineage, source systems, connectivity, transformations, data ownership, reconciliation, exception handling, and downstream consumers.
- Strong Microsoft Visio experience creating current-state and future-state process flows, cross-functional workflows, swimlane diagrams, system diagrams, and data-flow documentation.
- Experience developing functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, interface requirements, and technical documentation.
- Experience working within an Agile delivery model and managing requirements, stories, dependencies, and delivery activities in Broadcom Rally or CA Agile Central.
- Excellent analytical, facilitation, written communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to identify the appropriate business and technical partners, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive unresolved questions to closure.
Desired Skills:
- Financial services, banking, trust operations, accounting systems, asset servicing, corporate trust, or financial reconciliation experience.
- Experience supporting a large-scale application modernization, business-process transformation, or platform-replacement initiative.
- Salesforce experience with objects, data models, workflows, platform capabilities, reporting, and integrations.
- MuleSoft experience with API-led connectivity, integration flows, enterprise integration patterns, error handling, and data mapping.
- IBM FileNet experience with content repositories, metadata, document lifecycles, workflows, retention, and application integrations.
- Experience working with internal and external data providers and vendor-managed applications.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, SOAP web services, SFTP, file-based integrations, XML, JSON, SQL, SharePoint, cloud-hosted applications, and identity and access-management concepts.
