Desktop Engineer

Overview As a Desktop Engineer, you will develop and maintain desktop solutions to support project and operational needs for a banking-domain environment. You will collaborate with engineering and TI partners to build and rebuild workstations, ensuring security and standardization. Your work includes patch deployment, desktop framework configuration, and contributing to automation and process improvements. You will ensure production readiness through certification, monitoring, and Tier III support, delivering scalable, secure desktop infrastructure. This role offers impact by shaping how desktop environments support mission-critical banking operations. Compensation / Benefits Base salary + benefits Responsibilities Develop desktop solutions for project and operational needs Collaborate with Engineering and TI partners to build/rebuild workstations per standards Install, configure and certify patches on production workstations for security Develop and maintain installation/configuration of the desktop framework Contribute to and maintain standards for managing desktop solutions Research and propose automated, scalable system administration approaches Perform daily monitoring, reporting, and defect tracking Track platform products and certify for production deployment Provide Tier III/other support per requests from support teams Manage lab inventory for projects and BAU activities Key requirements Bachelor (4-year) degree with a technical major such as engineering or computer science System Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft Application packaging experience Experience managing configurations for tools like Aternity Exposure to application programming in C# or developing ASP.NET web applications 8 to 10 years of system administration experience 2 to 4 years of C# and XML experience Microsoft System Administration Application packaging Aternity configurationsC#XMLASP.NET
