About the role

An orthopedic referral hospital in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon to join its specialty team! This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, orthopedics-exclusive referral practice as it grows into a four-surgeon specialty hospital. Every case, protocol, and piece of equipment here is centered on orthopedics, so you can go deeper into hips, arthroscopy, trauma, fracture fixation, limb deformity, and complex reconstructive work rather than splitting your time across unrelated case types. The practice has earned a strong reputation for taking on challenging cases that others may decline, with total hip arthroplasty a particular area of strength. Patients are referred from across central Arizona and the wider Southwest, with some clients traveling from out of state! You’ll be joining three experienced ACVS board-certified surgeons, supported by highly skilled veterinary technicians, high-functioning veterinary assistants, and a friendly front office team. The clinical setup includes advanced implant and fixation systems, intraoperative imaging, arthroscopy, and 2D and 3D patient-specific planning with 3D printed bone models and custom surgical guides. Client education is treated as core clinical work, with one-hour new patient consultations giving you meaningful time to review imaging and talk through options. The surgeons also teach, present, and consult through specialty organizations, universities, and industry partners, and actively contribute to research and publication. Looking ahead, they have plans to renovate, and expand the facility including introducing CT capability, a total hip replacement center of excellence, and orthopedic urgent care. The partners meet regularly to shape that vision, and the incoming surgeon will have a genuine voice in the future of the clinic.
