Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Job at Mountain View Hospital in Payson

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls seeks a part-time Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic sonographic exams including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts studies. Responsibilities include patient preparation, operating and optimizing ultrasound equipment, ensuring accurate image acquisition, and working closely with radiologists and providers for timely interpretations. The technologist will follow safety and infection control standards, provide compassionate patient care, maintain detailed documentation in the EMR, support quality improvement, and participate in ongoing training within our collaborative, patient-focused team. Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations (abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts). Prepare and position patients while explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety. Optimize ultrasound equipment settings to obtain high-quality images. Collaborate with radiologists and providers for timely image interpretation and follow-up. Document exams accurately in PACS/EMR and maintain detailed patient records. Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards. Assist with scheduling and workflow to support efficient department operations. Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team. Care for and maintain ultrasound equipment and report service needs.
