MRI Technologist II

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls seeks a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams in our physician-owned, community-focused hospital. In this role, you will screen and prepare patients, ensure MRI safety, position patients, operate advanced MRI equipment, and collaborate closely with radiologists and care teams to deliver accurate, timely imaging. Perform high-quality MRI exams following established protocols and physician orders Verify patient identity, obtain history, and complete MRI safety screening Educate and prepare patients to ensure comfort and cooperation during exams Position patients and select appropriate coils and parameters for optimal image quality Start IVs and administer contrast agents per protocol and safety guidelines Monitor patients during exams and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or emergencies Ensure MRI suite safety, including ferromagnetic screening and zone control Document procedures accurately in PACS/RIS and maintain detailed exam records Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to coordinate imaging needs Contribute to a culture of patient-centered care, quality improvement, and safety compliance MRI scanning protocols Cross-sectional anatomy Patient positioning and immobilization MRI safety and screening Operation of MRI equipment and coils IV insertion and contrast administration Radiation/contrast safety principles PACS/RIS and EMR documentation Infection control procedures Emergency response in MRI suite Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ARRT (R)(MR) certification State MRI/Radiologic Technologist license (if required by state) BLS/CPR certification ACR safety training or equivalent
