Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Gifted Healthcare is seeking an ICU RN for a travel or local assignment in Pell City, AL. In this role, you will deliver high-acuity bedside care, monitor complex patients, and manage ventilators, drips, and critical interventions in a fast-paced ICU. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care, while documenting accurately in the EMR. Provide direct ICU nursing care to critically ill adult patients following facility protocols and physician orders Continuously monitor vital signs, ventilators, drips, and complex equipment, responding rapidly to changes in patient status Administer and titrate IV medications, blood products, and treatments, maintaining accurate documentation in the EMR Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning with compassion and clarity Maintain strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards Participate in bedside reports, codes, and rapid response situations as needed Adapt quickly to new ICU environments, policies, and workflows as a travel or local contract RN ICU nursing Ventilator management Hemodynamic monitoring Titration of critical drips Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Central line and arterial line care Telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation Medication administration and IV therapy Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Infection control and patient safety Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in AL or compact state BLS certification ACLS certification PALS preferred CCRN preferred
