Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Gifted Healthcare seeks an Emergency Room RN for a travel or local assignment in Trussville, Alabama. In this fast-paced ER role, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care through triage, assessment, and stabilization of acute and critical patients. Responsibilities include medication and IV administration, collaboration with physicians, accurate documentation, and patient/family education. Provide direct patient care to emergency room patients, including triage, assessment, and continuous monitoring Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans Respond rapidly to emergencies, perform life-saving interventions, and operate emergency equipment Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced ER setting Support a culture of compassion, integrity, and clinical excellence while adapting to travel or local assignments Emergency nursing Triage assessment IV therapy and medication administration Cardiac monitoring ACLS protocols PALS/emergency pediatric care Ventilator and airway management Electronic medical records (EMR) Infection control and safety compliance Patient and family education Active RN license in AL or compact state BLS certification ACLS certification PALS certification preferred TNCC or ENPC preferred Experience in high-acuity emergency/trauma setting
