Shop Grinder/Blaster- MFG

Overview: Level Entry Position Type Full Time Job Shift DayDescriptionPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESUse plasma cutter on a turntable to cut elbow halves and de-cap. Use hand grinder to grind bevels for elbows to be fit up for welding. Use hand cutting torch to cut elbows. Clean/Finish all fittings to remove all grinding marks, scratches and surface imperfections using grit blast and sand blast removing equipment. Inspect all blast equipment and PPE associated equipment daily before beginning any blasting. Work with minimum supervision. Keep area environmentally clean and orderly at all times. Provide on the job training to new employees as needed. Follow all safety and health policies and procedures issued by the company. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read tape measure dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required. Ability to drive a forklift and pass forklift certification class
