Details Pediatric Medical unit in a hospital setting Cares for a wide range of pediatric patients from newborn to 18 years without a specific population focus Includes patients with respiratory and GI conditions, as well as trachs and home ventilators Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week Requirements Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Up to 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience required Experience caring for pediatric patients with trachs and home ventilators required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills Additional Information Provides nursing care to an assigned group of pediatric patients with varying needs Documents patient responses to interventions and treatments, noting changes in physician orders Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements American Traveler Job ID P-.
