About the role
AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a dynamic and energetic physician with leadership experience to serve as the Cardiovascular ICU, Critical Care Unit Medical Director. In this role, the physician will lead the Cardiovascular ICU Team, manage complex cardiothoracic surgical patients, and collaborate with experienced intensivists and surgeons. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large employed provider intensive care team and help shape a world-class cardiovascular critical care program. Practice InfoAHMG Critical Care Specialists of Central Florida employed provider intensive care team Serves over 20,000 critically-ill patients a year Manages CABG, Valvular repair or replacement, Aortic dissections and Thoracic surgery patients
Responsibilities:
- Manage CABG, Valvular repair or replacement, Aortic dissections and Thoracic surgery patients
- Collaborate with experienced and established intensivists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and cardiologists to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Cardiovascular Critical Care program
- Lead the clinical quality for CVICU care, including quality metrics and quality assurance teams
- Active participation in regional, national meetings and conferences
- Education of APP'S, medical critical care fellows and new staff
- Build a core team of physicians working to improve the breadth and intensity of the Cardiovascular ICUSetting performance criteria for the CVICUHiring and retaining qualified physicians & APPsHelp to advance AdventHealth Orlando into a world class advanced cardiovascular critical care service
Qualifications:
Board Certification in Critical Care (ABIM) or Surgical Critical Care (ABS) required 3-5 years of experience as a CVICU physician leader Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with both private practice and employed models
