RN - Med Surg

Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit. Float between units as required to meet patient care needs. Monitor patient vitals and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Participate in on-call duties as assigned due to census fluctuations. Ensure compliance with safety and medical protocols, including the use of PPE when necessary. Weekend and Holiday RequirementsApplicants should be available to work every other weekend and commit to working three out of five major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

Qualifications: Current and valid state nursing license (Compact license preferred). Certification in ACLS and BLS is required. Minimum of two years of nursing experience is mandatory. Telemetry and inpatient medical/surgical experience preferred. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Unit DetailsThis unit specializes in caring for adults and geriatric patients with various diagnoses, including STEMI, NSTEMI, strokes, renal disease, COPD, and drug withdrawal. Additional Information: All nursing staff are required to wear scrubs; color preference is flexible. Charting is done using the Epic system. No parking fees are required at this facility.
