Description: American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night-shift position requiring a compact RN license, OR RN license, and at least 1 year of recent experience. DetailsWork in the Medical Surgical unit of a short-term acute care hospital Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 Floating between units required May be placed on call Minimum of every other weekend required Uses Epic for charting

Requirements: Active compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration OR RN license required BLS certification required Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required Epic charting experience required Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access/management, peripheral line care, chest tube management, oxygen administration, continuous bladder irrigation, heparin and PCA medication administration, and isolation precautions/PPE Experience with telemetry, surgical drains, orthopedics, and total joint replacement preferred Experience with cardiac monitoring and rapid response/code team protocols Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Additional InformationFirst-time travelers are welcome to apply Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be accepted at the travel rate, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility May be required to float between sister facilities within the region Scrubs may be any color for RN/Allied staff
