Position: Real Estate Compliance Associate
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $70k – $90k + Bonus
Growing NYC bases Commercial Real Estate Group seeks a Risk Management Associate to join their Team!
Responsibilities:
- Manage insurance requirements for commercial tenants across a diverse property portfolio
- Ensure tenants maintain required insurance coverage, monitoring policy compliance, and collaborating with property management, legal teams, brokers, and tenants to minimize risk exposure
- Review and track tenant insurance certificates and policy documentation
- Ensure compliance with lease insurance requirements and company standards
- Communicate directly with tenants, insurance brokers, and property managers regarding deficiencies and renewals
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and complete records
- Monitor expiration dates and follow up on outstanding insurance requirements
- Assist with risk management initiatives and audits
- Interpret lease language related to insurance obligations
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in insurance, compliance, and risk management in commercial real estate
- Familiar with commercial insurance policies and certificates of insurance (COIs)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and compliance tracking systems - MRI and SiteCompli
