Employment Status: Casual
Example of Work ShiftsMonday thru Friday & Weekends7:00 am -3:00 pm3:00 pm to 11:00 pm11:00 pm-7:00 amPosition Objective The Patient Sitter is responsible for providing close and/or continuous observation of pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients who may be at risk for adverse events such as falls, self-injury or harm to others.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct observation of patients as directed by the nursing staff and never leaves the patient alone or out of sight unless specifically instructed by the nurse
  • Report on changes in the condition of the patient to the appropriate supervisor and other staff members
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned in a professional and responsive manner
  • Demonstrate the ability to use relevant equipment
  • Support, understand, and promote Alomere Health's mission, vision, values, policies and procedures
  • Ability to meet the work schedule requirements with flexibility dependent upon the needs of the department
  • Foster respectful working relationships with professional colleagues, patients, families, and general public regardless of age, gender, lifestyle, culture, beliefs, race, socioeconomic class, or ability
Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications Previous Healthcare environment experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to create, maintain and provide a safe environment
