About the role

Overview: In this role, you support financial oversight and audit for a large-scale construction project, ensuring accurate cost control and auditable records. You will work with project and field teams to validate billed work, monitor budgets, and prepare financial summaries. Your expertise helps drive project reconciliation, cash-flow forecasting, and closeout activities on a long-term program through 2029. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor budgets, commitments, forecasts, POs, invoices, and expenditures
  • Review contractor invoices and pay applications for accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with project and field personnel to validate billed work and progress
  • Audit contracts, change orders, vendor commitments, invoices, and other financial records
  • Prepare cost reports, variance analyses, cash-flow forecasts, and financial summaries
  • Research billing discrepancies and support project reconciliation and closeout
  • Maintain organized, auditable project documentation
Key requirements:
  • Experience in construction project accounting, project controls, cost management, or contract auditing
  • Knowledge of contractor pay apps, change orders, commitments, retainage, and forecasting
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, organization, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project accounting or ERP systems
  • Experience supporting major construction, capital, EPC, or mission-critical projects
  • Data center construction experience preferred
