Salary: $275,000 - $350,000 Hybrid Schedule: 3 Days In Office | 2 Days Remote

About the Opportunity: A prominent national law firm is seeking a Senior Real Estate Associate to join its expanding New York Real Estate Practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced attorney to play a significant role in sophisticated commercial leasing and real estate transactions while working directly with developers, landlords, tenants, investors, and corporate occupiers. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling complex leasing matters, strong client-management skills, and a practical, business-oriented approach to solving real estate challenges.

Job Responsibilities: Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial lease agreements involving office, retail, mixed-use, and other commercial properties. Represent landlords, tenants, developers, and investors in sophisticated leasing transactions and occupancy matters. Advise clients on strategic real estate issues, risk allocation, lease administration, and ongoing property-related matters. Support acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions through lease diligence, contract review, and tenant-risk analysis. Structure and negotiate lease provisions related to rent, use restrictions, operating expenses, assignments, subleases, defaults, and remedies. Provide practical legal and business advice to clients throughout the lifecycle of real estate transactions. Develop and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor on commercial real estate matters. Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, finance, tax, and litigation practices to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

Job Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school. Admission to the New York Bar and good standing.8-12+ years of significant real estate experience, with a strong concentration in commercial leasing. Extensive experience negotiating and drafting complex office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use lease agreements. Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong business judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to client service. Experience working directly with institutional owners, developers, REITs, or corporate occupiers is a plus.
