Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions Senior Associate Attorney Direct Counsel is seeking a Private Equity M&A Senior Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm.
Locations:
Los Angeles, California; San Francisco, California; Santa Monica, California; Silicon Valley, California
Position Overview:
The attorney will join the firm's Private Equity group and advise clients on sophisticated corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, exits, and equity compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Advise private equity clients on complex corporate and transactional matters
- Handle mergers and acquisitions and leveraged recapitalizations
- Support growth equity and venture capital transactions
- Advise on exits and equity compensation matters
- Work collaboratively on transaction teams while independently managing components of transactions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and counsel
- Apply strong business judgment to sophisticated transactions
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in private equity, M&A, corporate, or transactional law
- Experience with a broad range of corporate and transactional matters
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, exits, and/or equity compensation
- Experience working effectively as part of a team and independently managing components of transactions
- Proactive approach and strong business sense
- Stellar communication and relationship-management skills
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Comparable law firm experience
- Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
- Deal sheet required
- Compensation$390,000+, depending on qualifications and experience.
