Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Hartford Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse specializing in wound care to deliver evidence-based treatment across our Connecticut facilities. In this role, you will perform comprehensive wound assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide advanced therapies to promote healing and prevent complications. You’ll educate patients and families, collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, and document care in our EHR. Perform comprehensive wound assessments and staging for diverse patient populations Develop and implement individualized wound care plans using evidence-based practices Apply advanced dressings and therapies, including negative pressure wound therapy Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Educate patients and families on wound care, prevention, and follow-up instructions Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards and protocols Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care outcomes Support orientation and mentoring of staff in wound care best practices Wound assessment and staging Wound dressing selection and application Negative pressure wound therapy Infection control practices Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Patient and family education Care plan development Interdisciplinary care coordination Pain management for wound patients Quality and outcomes monitoring Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in CT WOCN or wound care certification preferred BLS certification ACLS preferred
