Transplant Institute Medical Director

AdventHealth Transplant Institute (AHTI) is seeking a dynamic Medical Director to lead our thriving transplant program within the AdventHealth healthcare system. This role ensures exceptional patient care delivery, fosters a culture of collaboration, and assists with growth across various organs serviced through the AHTI program while providing leadership for physician and administrative leaders. The Medical Director serves as the physician lead and representative for the Transplant Institute within the AH Orlando campus, the Institutes, and the AH Medical Group, in partnership with the Vice President, AHTI. Located just outside downtown Orlando near Winter Park, this position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact at a top-tier healthcare institution. Practice InfoAdventHealth Transplant Institute is located at AdventHealth Orlando, just north of downtown Orlando in an adjacent medical office building. Multi-Organ Abdominal Transplant team performs 70 adult and pediatric liver transplants, 160 adult and pediatric kidney transplants, and 10 pancreas transplants yearly. AdventHealth Orlando opened a state-of-the-art 32-bed critical care unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service. AdventHealth operates a hospital-based organ procurement organization (Our Legacy).AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute fields more than 70,000 cardiac-related visits annually with more than 25,000 individuals being treated for chest pain across seven emergency rooms. AdventHealth Orlando Ginsburg Tower is a 15-patient tower with 440 patient beds, housing emergency department, OR suites, and ICU beds.
