Residential & Light Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Yellowstone Local is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support our home-service clients by delivering high-quality heating and cooling service. In this role, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems while providing an exceptional customer experience. You’ll perform troubleshooting, system tune-ups, and equipment replacements, ensuring work meets safety standards and local codes. Working closely with a collaborative, growth-focused team, you’ll document work, communicate clearly with customers, and represent partner brands with professionalism and integrity. Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems Perform routine preventative maintenance and system tune-ups Install replacement parts and equipment according to specifications and codes Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC issues Communicate clearly with customers about findings, options, and recommendations Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service software Follow safety standards, local codes, and company quality guidelines Coordinate with dispatch and team members to manage daily schedule efficiently Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally HVAC system troubleshooting Residential HVAC service Light commercial HVAC service Electrical diagnostics Refrigeration cycle knowledge Reading blueprints and schematics Brazing and soldering Use of HVAC gauges and meters Preventative maintenance Customer communication Service documentation Safety and code compliance Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k EPA 608 Certification State HVAC license or registration (as applicable) NATE certification preferred Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
