Analyzing and underwriting SBA loan requests, the full-time California Licensed SBA Underwriter will prepare credit approval documentation, ensure compliance with SBA guidelines, and collaborate with various stakeholders in a hybrid/remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Analyze financial statements and business plans to assess creditworthiness of SBA loan applicants
Prepare detailed credit memoranda and present recommendations to the loan committee
Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Loan Processors to gather required documentation and clarify loan structures
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a 4-year college or university, along with 3-5 years of related experience
Experience with SBA 7(a) and 504 loan programs is essential
Advanced credit analysis skills with knowledge of loan structure and collateral analysis
Familiarity with loan origination systems and SBA submission platforms
Intermediate knowledge of state and federal lending regulations and compliance requirements
